Our Reading Buddies program pairs teen volunteers with children to read books together and engage in fun literacy-building activities!
Our Reading Buddies program pairs teen volunteers with children to read books together and engage in fun literacy-building activities. Each session will feature interactive reading time where the teens guide the children in reading aloud, followed by activities like games or book discussions to reinforce comprehension. This program aims to improve reading skills in a supportive environment while also fostering connections between generations. Teens will gain valuable volunteer experience and leadership skills, while children will gain confidence in their reading abilities and develop a love for books. The program is designed to be both educational and fun, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
