MacKay Family MakerspaceSew your own zippered pencil case! Learn sewing machine basics, work with fabric, and install a zipper while creating a practical project. No experience needed!
In this hands-on workshop, you'll create a simple, functional pencil case while learning sewing machine basics, fabric handling, and how to insert a zipper. It's a great beginner project and perfect for heading back to school with a handmade accessory.
All supplies are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own pre-cut fabric if you have something special in mind. You'll need 2 pieces of exterior fabric and 2 pieces of interior fabric, all cut to 9.5" x 5.5".
Bracebridge Library
The Bracebridge Library is located within the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre at 34 Salmon Avenue. It is a state-of-the-art facility featuring a Makerspace, Recording Studio, study rooms, meeting rooms, and much more for you to explore!
