MacKay Family MakerspaceSew your own reusable, microwaveable handwarmers! Learn basic sewing skills while creating two cozy pairs. Perfect for keeping your hands toasty all winter long.
Keep your hands warm all season with this simple and satisfying sewing project!
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll sew four reusable microwaveable handwarmers (two pairs) using cotton fabric and rice. You’ll learn basic sewing techniques while you create your own set of pocket-sized warmers to heat up again and again. This cozy project is great for learning simple sewing skills - and makes a perfect handmade gift, too!
Please note: If you have attended this program before, the project will be the same.
Bracebridge Library
The Bracebridge Library is located within the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre at 34 Salmon Avenue. It is a state-of-the-art facility featuring a Makerspace, Recording Studio, study rooms, meeting rooms, and much more for you to explore!
