We want YOUR sketchbooks!
Inspired by the Brooklyn Art Library's Sketchbook Project, we’re building a collection of original sketchbooks to be permanently housed and openly shared at the Bracebridge Library.
All ages and skill levels are welcome and encouraged!
Our goal is to empower and inspire our community through creation, and to share local stories, voices and perspectives.
To participate
1.Grab a sketchbook, available at Bracebridge Library for a small fee, or source your own (must be hard or softbound 8.5"x11" or smaller).
2. Fill your sketchbook. Draw, write, collage, paint. fill your sketchbook with anything that inspires you!
3. Bring your filled sketchbook back to Bracebridge Library at any time, where it will be cataloged and permanently added to our collection.
4. Get inspired! Flip through sketchbooks by other artists in our collection!
5. Stay in touch, check our social media for themed calls for entry, daily prompts, and featured sketchbook pages!
The Bracebridge Library is located within the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre at 34 Salmon Ave. The Library is a state-of-the-art facility with a makerspace, multipurpose room, & more!
